Associate eligibility is by years in practice, or by role for judges, government lawyers and academics. The Fellow fee steps with the seat price: $1,390 to 31 October, $1,490 from November, $1,590 from January.
What it saves
The membership pays for itself on the first seat.
The Dubai seat is the easiest way to see it. The member price sits below the standard rate in every window, and the gap widens as the date gets closer.

$449 for the year plus $895 for the seat is $1,344. The standard seat in the next window is $1,399. Joining costs less than not joining.
There is no second fee. The next edition is $895 again, against $1,399. That is a $504 difference on one seat.
Three member-rate seats a year, one per edition. A fourth seat is bought at the standard rate, and a colleague needs a membership of their own.
The members-only window
The first window belongs to members.
Seats open six months before each edition and the earliest price is not offered to anyone else. The standard rate opens in the second window, at $1,399. This is what makes the fee worth paying in October rather than in January.

About the attendance record
The Forum issues a certificate for each session you attend, in person or on the recording, and a single record at the end of the membership year. Where your bar or regulator accepts self-certified hours, that record is what you submit. The Forum does not yet hold accreditation from any named authority and does not claim hours on your behalf. This wording should not change without a signed approval letter.
Firms and teams
Fifteen per cent of the room arrives as a team.
Central banks, ministries of justice and global firms already move in groups of five or more. The team rate is for them.
Five to nine memberships
Applied to every membership on the same invoice. Each lawyer keeps their own listing, their own recordings and their own three seats.
Ten or more memberships
The same terms, with one point of contact for renewals and a single invoice for the finance team.
One seat, one membership
Every member-rate seat is attached to a membership. A team of eight buys eight memberships, not one membership and eight cheap seats.

Does the membership year run from January?
No. It runs twelve months from the day you join. If you join in October it ends the following October, and it covers every edition in between.
I only attend one edition a year. Is it still worth it?
Yes, on the first seat. $449 plus a $895 seat is $1,344, and the standard seat is $1,399. Everything else in the membership comes on top of that.
What happens to my member price if I join after an edition sells out?
The member price holds at the next edition inside your membership year. You are not paying for a window you missed.
Can I buy seats for my colleagues at the member price?
Not on one membership. Each member-rate seat belongs to a member. For a group, the team rate on this page is the cheaper route.
What does “asked first for speaking” mean in practice?
When the programme for an edition is being built, the practice group for your area is approached before the open call goes out. Members are in that group. It is not a guarantee of a slot; it is a guarantee of being asked.
